THE PHILIPPINES
Sheryl Pautan
-
Sheryl is a self-taught artist with a simple color approach and works with various mediums like acrylic, oil paint, charcoal, watercolor, and mixed media. She has painted in various styles, including abstract, realism, and modern art, demonstrating her depth as an artist.
Sheryl competed in the Jollibee National Art Contest twice, in 1998 and 1999, at The Heritage Hotel and The Sofitel Hotel Manila, exhibiting her talent for art at an early age. Her efforts resulted in a second-place win at the 1999 National Jollibee Art Competition, "Sabi ni Jollibee Kaya Mong Ilarawan Kid," which was acknowledged by Bulacan Gov. Josie Dela Cruz and her elementary school.
Despite holding a degree in Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Our Lady of Fatima University, Sheryl's love for art was not related to her subject, but as a career woman, she was able to pursue her passion. Additionally, Sheryl is a makeup artist, homemaker, and dedicated mother to her awesome child.
Her husband, Buddy Hernandez, and her awesome child are her strongest motivators. Sheryl decided to participate in an art exhibition to showcase her talent, believing in God's plan. She has exhibited her paintings at various venues, including Art Show Philippines-Hesukristo, Bang-Bang Bangus Art-Gateway Gallery, Unified Artist Society-Pagkalinga, Kape Kesada Art Gallery, and the International Art Caravan.
