I am Irtiza Sharief. I am an artist and author as well. I'm based in Kashmir, Srinagar. My works are about me, self-reflection, and my own journey. It tells me who I am and what is the purpose of life. It's basically a spiritual journey. My inspiration is Maulana Rumi, but I love to inspire myself too because I love to explore through art. For me, art is a vision. I don't have a particular style of art. I try all forms; it depends upon how my brain creates the image and my mood. I'm also an emotional painter. I don't paint only, but my art affects me in real life, but at the end, I enjoy my art too, even if I overpaint. It doesn't matter to me how it will turn out, but at the end, results turn into satisfaction and gained knowledge.

I paint beautiful paintings, and I'm a color-loving person. When I paint, it takes me to the unknown world. My painting gives me the answer when painting is finished. Sometimes I become fascinated... I think art reflects the soul... My paintings give me the answer without even knowing what's going on. It takes me somewhere, questions that are unsaid...

But later on in the year 2024, I found my style of art. I paint mystical landscapes. The artworks that I used to paint before 2024 were hard for me. In my mystical landscapes, you will find rainbows, boats, silhouettes of peregrine falcons. It depicts a story. Every different landscape has a story behind it. It is a spiritual journey. It is taking me somewhere to show me the beauty of nature with every hardship there is ease. At the end, I find my landscapes serene. That's why I choose watercolor as a medium. In 2024, I found calmness not only in my art but in myself too. Such is the beauty of art and the effects of art on a person. Art reflects the soul... Moon is the witness that there are happy endings. I find that in my art in the year 2024.
