Christine Rechnitzer is an emerging Austrian Artist of figurative and non-figurative art.

“It is exciting to have a blank canvas in front of me and to create something with all my heart and soul. The challenge is to come up with imagery from within that will please and excite others. My inspiration comes from the beauty of nature, encounters with people, music, and emotional experiences which translate into colors, shapes and textures.”

Ever since she was a child she loved to paint and draw and enjoyed artistic expression in different forms. Later the focus turned to fashion design.

Like many artists, she considers herself self-taught. However, Friedensreich Hundertwasser once invited her to join his masterclass at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Being his guest was a most enjoyable experience, she says.

After spending more than 20 years in Pharmaceutical Industry and International Retail Management, the road led her back to interior design.

Creativity, Design and Management have been her companion throughout her entire life. Christine’s innate desire to paint returned in 2020 and has been cultivated ever since with great dedication.

It was only in the beginning of 2022 that she presented herself as an artist to the world public.

Since then Christine participated in exhibitions in Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Spain.
