Aysha Uslu-Marschalkowski

Germany

  • Aysha Uslu-Marschalkowski has always been deeply fascinated by buildings and everything three-dimensional. After her studies of architecture, she developed an interest in geometric Patterns.  Before becoming a visual artist, she had begun her career as a designer.

While an international workshop on geometrical ornaments she has realized that she has the ability to see three-dimensional variants of a two-dimensional pattern. Since then it has always been her aim to visualize these three-dimensional patterns for everyone else.

She is a paper-sculpture-artist, who combines the colourful Islamic patterns with minimalism and translates them into reliefs. She works with a special paper, which is resistant to aging to create her innovative artworks, which she has presented in a number of exhibitions nationally and internationally.
