Andrea Stanic

CROATIA

  • I use oil on canvas technique with different motives. I find inspiration in nature, in simple, but special moments of the day. My abstraction is not to tell a story but to stimulate the imagination. The experience of painting is different for everyone, depending on the mood and personality. The colors are like melody and causes vibration of the soul.

In the cycle of paintings "Below the Surface", our depth of feelings, our thoughts, thoughts through the spectrum of colors is shown as an expression of the state. Everything that we most often hide from others in depth is shown. Wassily Kandinsky thinks that to give emotion art must detach itself from figuration. For this, at first, he oversimplified the forms then from 1910, he completely removed any reference to a pattern, his work becoming abstract.
