Redouane Benzemmouri is a Moroccan artist, He lives in Dubai after obtaining the Golden Residence from the government and the Ministry of Culture, Dubai, UAE. Benzemmouri works in many media and disciplines producing drawing, painting, sculpture, art installations, and photography. He obtained a BA in Essaouira in 2007. He has been participating and presenting his work since 2001 in Morocco and abroad. His first, and very successful solo introduction to the art world occurred at Dar Daoud in Essaouira in 2005.

Benzemmouri’s “Biophilia” series of paintings are embodiments of American biologist Edward Wilson’s (the father and writer/publisher of “Biophilia” - the study of biodiversity and two time Pulitzer Prize-winning scientist) theory of the relationship of attraction between man and nature. One of my goals in art is to remind all of humanity of this sacred relationship and to encourage its dissemination.

Attention in my work is focused on Earth elements that remind us of the often ignored and abused, yet always present and essential, world of nature. My ultimate goal is to restore the harmonic connection between Human and Mother Nature, which is the best medicine for the soul, body and mind of modern man.

Redouane has won many awards, the most important of which is the International Spoleto Art Festival Award for Contemporary Artists, Rocca Albornoz Portico La Portealla, Italy 2022, and the International Caravaggio Award for Contemporary Artists Milan, Italy 2018, and the first prize in the regional competition for young plastic artists organized by the Moroccan

Ministry of Culture 2013, in addition to his participation in many festivals and international biennials, and for the value of his work, some of his paintings were considered part of the group The permanent museum of Ceuta (Morocco - Spain), as well as the Yukung Art Museum, Geje, South Korea and the Museum of Visual Arts in Dezful, Iran, and many private collections both in and outside Morocco, such as France, Germany, the United States of America, Italy, Sweden, China, Saudi Arabia, Belgium South Korea and Iran.
