-
My name is Ryu Dae Sung (Yeon Jae), and I am a Korean literary artist. Currently, I am passionately teaching literary painting to students based on the basics at the Lifelong Learning Center. Literary painting is a painting drawn with ink on rice paper by scholars or noblemen who did not draw as a profession. It was called Sainjihwa or Literary Painting and later became Literary Painting.
They tried to express their feelings based on various materials such as calligraphy and the Four Gracious Flowers. The current literati ink painting style emphasizes the spirit and restraint that literati possessed. However, it is said that we should not only look at the subject matter of literary paintings on the surface, but try to learn and express them through them.
In other words, by growing orchids yourself, you will learn about the nature and temperament of orchids, the spirit of plum blossoms that bloom despite the cold, the nobility of bamboo that does not break even in harsh winds, and the flowers that survive the cold in late fall and maintain green leaves. We must try to resemble the chrysanthemum.
After such years, I think that picking up a brush and painting is the home and spirit of literati painting. The value of life while doing what I love. Literary paintings that brought joy and happiness. I applied because I thought it would be great to stand shoulder to shoulder with artists from around the world and communicate through my work.
Thank you^^
