Anne Canceran
-
It is never too late to start an old dream, and thus, Anne Canceran picked up a brush and started to paint in 2020.
Anne has always wanted to paint since she was a child, but did not have the means to so instead of pursuing art, she completed a degree in Early Childhood Education at the De La Salle University - Dasmariñas.
With vibrant colors and powerful strokes, the 36-year-old self-taught artist uses art as a form of therapy as she translates raw and real thoughts and emotions in the form of landscapes, still-lifes, and abstract paintings through Acrylic on canvas.
Just like everyone who has struggled during the community quarantine, she needed a way to break out of the pandemic anxiety and somehow found herself rekindling her old passion.
Anne also works as a contractual government employee of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Environmental Management Bureau - CALABARZON Region, but outside of her 9-5 job, she is also currently an active visual artist for the Singulart Gallery, an international platform that showcases their artists' work to a global audience.
Locally, she frequently joins art exhibits hosted by Art Show Philippines and is also an active member of Aral Artists Community and Art Lovers Philippines, Cavite Chapter, Philippine Botanical Art Society and Philippine Fauna Art Society.
Now a budding artist as bright as the colors on her canvasses, Anne is slowly making her mark with 8 physical group exhibits and 22 virtual ones as of writing, with her works being loved by art enthusiasts and collectors both in the Philippines and in Singapore.
