Clement Mmaduako Nwafor is an award winning contemporary Nigerian Artist who lives and work in Abuja Nigeria.

He had long started his art subconsciously as a child when he would spend hours drawing with charcoal and coloured pencils.

As time went by he took up apprenticeship under Master Philip Nzekwe in 2008 who has guided and trained his eyes in sculpture, while he has gone ahead to execute numerous commissions in sculpture.

There after he also went to learn and develop his skills on painting under renowned Nigerian Artist Master Oswald Uruakpa in 2011.

Over years after he has trained his skills in both sculpture and painting, he has taken up career as a fulltime studio Artist.

Presently, Clement has shown his mastery in painting as he has been able to connect plenty dots and trajectory and his works have proven that his paintings are usually done with mix of oil paint and pieces of local fabrics collage which always come out a stunning mixed media paintings.

Colourful and intricate Gele, Nigerian head wraps,features heavily in his paintings, Clement expertly gives life and movement to the folds of the fabrics.

Soft and colourful Clement art almost appears as if it were carefully illustrated in coloured pencils or pastels, showing his mastery of manipulating oil colour, with constant practice and resilience he has created paintings that are quite engaging for it's soulful live like rendering of his subjects.

Clement has done a lot of group and solo exhibitions locally and internationally.
